Becoming a Client
If you are in need of food please visit the pantry during a Tuesday distribution to fill out an information sheet.

The Take and Eat Food Pantry serves residents of eastern Chatham County, specifically the Northwood High School district. You will need to provide proof of address for ALL adults and children residing in the household for whom you are requesting food assistance: Something current with name and street address - school records, medical bills, apartment lease, utility bill, Medicaid card, etc. Please note that we do not accept driver's licenses or "junk mail" as proof of residency. Residency verification must be updated every six months. 

We will also ask you to complete a food preference sheet. The information will help us know which foods your family prefers and if there are any dietary restrictions or food allergies.

Distribution Days and Times
1st Tuesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm 
2nd Tuesday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
4th Tuesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
5th Tuesday of a month - NO distribution

Sign Up and Distribution Policy

When you arrive, please sign up at the front desk.  Food is distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Please remain in the lobby or on the patio until you are called to take delivery of your food.

Food may only be picked up by household members, unless other plans have been made with the Food Pantry Director.

Each household is able to receive food up to two times per month with a maximum of six visits from January to June and six visits from July to December (12 times per calendar year).
