There are several ways you can support the Take and Eat Food Pantry. The pantry is an all-volunteer organization, that receives all of its funding from private donations and grant awards.
Volunteers help in the following areas:
  • Shopping for food at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina on a monthly basis
  • Stocking purchased food
  • Packing food for distribution
  • Loading groceries into clients' vehicles
  • Greeting clients
  • Collecting donated produce from local farmers market
  • Collecting donated food items from local retailers
  • Assisting with special events
  • Organizing food drives or fund raisers
  • Sending thank you notes

The Volunteer Registration Form can be found at the bottom of this page. Please email us at to schedule a good time to volunteer, complete form, and bring it with you on your first visit.
